About Deep Domain

Domain knowledge, made visible.

Deep Domain helps specialist UK retailers and local businesses make their real expertise easier for search engines and AI answer tools to find, understand and cite.

Who’s behind it

Who is behind Deep Domain?

Deep Domain is run by Matt Billing. Matt’s background is in infrastructure and systems engineering, where useful work depends on evidence, repeatability, clear failure modes and careful change control. He applies the same discipline to AI visibility.

The work combines technical site retrieval checks, structured content, entity consistency, competitor and source analysis, and repeatable testing across web-grounded AI providers. The aim is not to manufacture expertise. It is to extract the expertise already inside a business and publish it in forms that customers, search engines and AI systems can use.

An early-stage business, described honestlyDeep Domain is building its first public case studies. We do not publish invented testimonials, guaranteed rankings or results that have not happened. Current proof is the working audit process, dated baselines, technical tooling and real delivery work already completed.
Track record

What has been built already

Measured audits

Buyer-style questions tested repeatedly across OpenAI and Anthropic, with models, timestamps, sources and competitor mentions retained.

Retrieval checks

A live-site checker that tests initial HTML, index signals, metadata, schema, canonical facts, robots rules and sitemaps.

Specialist content systems

Reviewed pipelines for product descriptions, FAQs and knowledge-base content in specialist retail environments.

Client-ready reporting

Dated PDF findings, technical appendices, quality assurance and remeasurement plans built around evidence rather than tool scores.

How Matt works

Working principles

Facts before fixes: the client’s confirmed business facts are the source of truth.
Measure before changing: every engagement begins with a dated baseline.
Human review: automated collection supports judgement; it does not replace it.
Transparent limits: an audit is a measured snapshot, not a universal ranking or guarantee.
Preserved evidence: previous baselines are retained so movement can be assessed honestly.

Talk through your visibility gap.

Deep Domain works UK-wide. Start with a straightforward conversation about what customers ask, which competitors appear, and what can be measured.
